CLEMSON, S.C. – The University of Pennsylvania’s men’s and women’s track and field teams wrapped up the Tiger Paw Invitational on Saturday, with the men’s team breaking two program records. 

Tiago Socarras placed first in the men’s 800m with a program record 800m time of 1:46.28. Socarras recorded the ninth-fastest time in the NCAA this season. Alec Jackson placed fourth with a personal-best time of 1:50.23. 

Benjamin Markham, Nayyir Newash-Campbell, Socarras, and Ryan Matulonis clocked a school record time of 3:06.35 in the 4x400m relay. 

The women’s relay team of Simone Castelluccio, Sofia Swindell, Amelia Kristen, Giuliana Ligor recorded the sixth-fastest time in program history at 3:38.16, finishing ninth. 

Thomas Bucks cleared a personal-best height of 5.20m (17′ 0.75″) in the men’s pole vault, tied for eighth in program history. 

Jailyn Milord clocked a personal-best time of 23.88 in the women’s 200m, ranked fourth on the program’s all-time top 10 list. 

Freshman Jessica Oji finished second in the women’s shot put invite with a mark of 17.74m (58′ 2.5″). 

Kampton Kam placed fifth in the men’s high jump clearing the bar at 2.14m (7′ 0.25″). 

In Boston, Quin Stovall placed second in the women’s 800m with a time of 2:07.08, followed by L’Mio Edwards in third with a time of 2:07.15.

In the mile, Alexa Matora (4:49.50), Izzy Rodriguez (4:51.80), and Adele Martin (4:52.09) all recorded personal-best times at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational. 

Sarah Fischer and Anna Weirich closed out the meet for the Quakers recording personal-best times in the women’s 5000m. Fischer stopped the clock at 16:17.43, followed by Weirich at 16:23.55, ranked third and fourth all-time in program history, respectively.
