BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Twenty different stores in downtown Bethlehem teamed up to make this Valentine’s Day a little sweeter.

They each created a unique treat for this year’s Chocolate Trail, and the event was so popular it completely sold out. There were chocolate truffles, chocolate bars, and even chocolate drinks at Bitty & Beau’s.

“We just had raspberry white hot chocolate. It was delicious,” said Barbie Brensinger, who was celebrating her first Valentines Day with her new husband, Anthony Yost.

“People have been coming, and we’ve had lines to the door since they started at noon,” said Bitty & Beau’s owner Kathi Eichman.

Eichman said they came up with a hot and an iced version of their chocolate drink to please the sold out crowd.

“People love to stop in. They get to see what we’re all about here at Bitty & Beau’s, and they get to experience the environment here,” said Eichman.

Over at Grandpa Joe’s Candy Shop, they were offering customers something a little more solid.

“We are handing out chocolate-covered graham crackers,” said Asst. Manager Haley Suloman.

Randall Taylor and his friends came by to get a taste for the 10th year in a row. He said it’s not just about the chocolate.

“Meeting all the people along the trail here, it’s always a blast, and all the local business owners that welcome us into their shops, we love it,” said Taylor.

Love and chocolate, the perfect combo for the holiday.
