Joan L. Maxson Campbell
OBITUARY
Joan L. Maxson Campbell, 91, of Olyphant, died Thursday, Feb. 12 at Carbondale Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. Her husband of 47 years is Frank Campbell.
Born in Scranton, Joan was a daughter of the late Herbert and Gertrude Maxson, and a 1953 graduate of West Scranton High School. For 46 years, she was employed in the sales office of Scranton Lace Corporation.
Quiet and fun-loving, Joan also enjoyed painting ceramics. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by those who knew her.
Also surviving are a sister, Diane Newman, Bellingham, MA; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Morgan, Warren, Norman, and Herbert.
A blessing service will be held Wednesday, Feb. 18 at 10 a.m. at the Neil W. Regan Funeral Home Inc., 1900 Pittston Ave., followed by interment in Cathedral Cemetery.
