Alice H. Fisher

OBITUARY

Alice H. (Kring) Fisher, 95, of Mohnton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday,

February 10, 2026, at Phoebe-Berks in Wernersville, surrounded by the love of her

family—just as she had lived her life, quietly and graciously, with those she cherished

most.

Born in Reading Hospital, she was a daughter of the late Arthur R. and Julia A.

(Sweitzer) Kring. Alice shared a beautiful 58-year marriage with her beloved husband,

Dr. Jack N. Fisher, DDS, who passed away in 2012. Together they built a life rooted in

faith, family, and devotion—an enduring example of commitment and love. Their family

takes great comfort in knowing mom and dad are smiling together again.

A graduate of the former Shillington High School, Alice worked for many years as

a bank teller, where her warm smile and gentle manner left lasting impressions on

customers and colleagues alike. She also did the same in Jack’s dentist office, working

as a receptionist, bookkeeper and “Jack of all trades.”

Alice was a faithful and devoted member of Allegheny UCC, serving as a church

elder, Vice President, and council member. Her heart was especially at home during

church dinners and festivals in the grove, where fellowship and community brought her

great joy.

She also gave her time and energy to the Governor Mifflin Music Association and

the Brecknock Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, always willing to serve wherever she was

needed. Alice found happiness in life’s simple and meaningful moments. She loved

knitting and sewing—quiet crafts that reflected her patient and caring spirit. Most of all,

she treasured time spent with her family. Her gentle presence, kind heart, and steady

love were gifts to all who knew her.

She is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Suzanne, wife of Dr. Thomas Fries,

Mohnton, and Natalie Fisher, also of Mohnton, along with her niece and nephews. In

addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Ann M. Riegel.

Alice’s long life was a blessing to her family and community. She will be dearly missed,

fondly remembered, and forever held in grateful hearts.

A Funeral Service for Alice will be held at 11:00AM, Wednesday, February 18,

2026, at Klee Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 1 East Lancaster Avenue,

Shillington, with a viewing from 9:30-11:00. Burial will follow the service at Pleasant

View Cemetery, Sinking Spring. Alice’s family would like to thank the very loving

caregivers at Phoebe-Berks for always treating their mom like she was family. Your

gentle care, warm smiles, and quiet acts of service brought her comfort and dignity and

brought our family peace of mind.

In lieu of flowers, kindly make a donation in Alice’s honor to her church: Allegheny

UCC, 1219 Kurtz Mill Road, Mohnton, PA 19540. Klee Funeral Home is honored to be
