An investigation is underway, officials said, after a man was shot in the stomach in South Philadelphia overnight.
According to police, at about 1 a.m., a man was shot in the stomach near the intersection of 18th and Sigel streets in South Philadelphia.
The man was taken to a nearby hospital where, officials said, he was listed in stable condition on Sunday morning.
However, contacted early Sunday, police did not immediately provide further information on how the incident unfolded, nor did they provide any information about a potential suspect or say if any arrests had been made.
But, officials did say an investigation into the incident was ongoing.
