Police have charged a man following a kidnap attempt in the City of Butler. According to investigators, the woman told police that she was beaten, taken from her home, and put into the truck by her ex-boyfriend. She also told authorities that the man threatened to kill her. The woman had escaped the truck when it had stopped at an intersection on Pillow Street. Officials said the woman ran into a nearby store and was able to contact police. Officers later arrested 53-year-old Kenneth Clarke after a chase ensued and ended in Cranberry. He is facing charges including kidnapping and assault.
