Allentown police arrested a 20-year-old man and seized multiple firearms and cocaine Friday morning during a raid.
Cruz-Pineiro, of the city, is charged with felony possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance; felony receiving stolen property; felony unlawful body armor; and other misdemeanor drug offenses.
He was arraigned before District Judge Karen C. Devine, who set bail at 10% of $50,000. In lieu of bail, Cruz-Pineiro initially was taken to the Lehigh County jail. Court records show he has since posted bail.
There was no attorney information immediately listed in court records for Cruz-Pineiro.
City Police Patrol Captain Joshua Brubaker said the search for Cruz-Pineiro began around 6:15 a.m. in the 200 block of West Court Street. Allentown’s Police Vice, Emergency Response Team, and patrol obtained a search warrant following an investigation, Brubaker said.
Ryan Cruz-Pineiro was the focus of the investigation and he was arrested inside the home, Brubaker told lehighvalleylive.com.
Investigators seized an AK-47 style rifle with a drum magazine; several high-capacity magazines; a stolen .38 caliber revolver; a .357 caliber revolver; two 9mm semi-automatic handguns; and a ballistic vest.
Officers also seized about 340 grams of marijuana; 141 THC cartridges; five jars of THC; Xanax pills; seven grams of cocaine; and $1,186 in cash, city police said.
Cruz-Pineiro is due back in court for a preliminary hearing tentatively scheduled for 10:15 a.m. Feb. 20 before Devine.
