A pedestrian was struck and killed by a car in New Castle, Lawrence County, police said.
Police said the incident happened on Wilmington Road near Edison Avenue at about 6:30 p.m. Sunday. The area is near Edward’s Square.

The person who was struck was taken to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital in Ohio, where he later died. His name has not been released.
