EXETER TWP, Pa. – Exeter Township Police are working to determine what caused a fatal pedestrian accident at an area shopping center.

It happened just after 2 p.m. in the lot of the Boscov’s store located in the 4500 block of Perkiomen Avenue.

Arriving officers located two adult female pedestrians who were struck by a pickup truck while trying to cross the parking lot.

Investigators say both pedestrians were injured and transported for medical treatment. One died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.

Police say the pickup truck was turning into a travel lane in front of the store when it struck the two women. The driver remained on scene and was cooperative with police.

The Exeter Township Police Department’s Traffic Safety Unit is investigating the

circumstances surrounding the crash.
