Marielaine Ann Kudzinowski
OBITUARY
Marielaine Ann Kudzinowski, 79, of Pittston, died peacefully at home on Thursday, February 12, 2026, surrounded by her loving husband, Paul, and family. She was born on May 29, 1946, in Scranton and was the daughter of the late John and Helen Nowacyz Fox.
She was a proud graduate of South Catholic High School, Class of 1964. She maintained lifelong friendships and cherished the many memories of her school years, which remained close to her heart throughout her life.
She was the devoted wife of Paul Kudzinowski of Pittston. In August, they would have celebrated 62 years of marriage – a loving union filled with partnership, laughter, and unwavering support.
A devoted Catholic, Marielaine’s faith was a steady foundation throughout her life. As a devoted member of St. Mary’s Help of Christians Church in Pittston and a longtime member of Sacred Heart of Jesus and Mary Church in Scranton, she found comfort and community in her parish. She lived her beliefs not only in prayer, but in the quiet, everyday ways she cared for others. Her quiet strength, compassion, and grace reflected the deep faith she carried in her heart.
Marielaine took great pride in her home and found her greatest joy in caring for and raising her three beloved sons. She devoted herself wholeheartedly to her family, creating a home filled with warmth, love, faith, and stability. Her nurturing spirit, steady presence, and unwavering support shaped the lives of her children and laid the foundation for the strong family bond they share today.
She had a deep and abiding love for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They were the light of her life and brought her immeasurable joy. Her love lives on through them – in their strength, their character, and the deep bond they share. She taught by example what it means to love unconditionally, to persevere with grace, and to always put family first.
She also had a deep and enduring love for poetry. She found comfort and inspiration in beautifully written words and often shared verses that reflected her faith, her strength, and her gentle spirit. Poetry brought her joy and peace throughout her life.
Her presence was a blessing and her memory a treasure. She will be deeply missed and forever held in the hearts of those who loved her.
She is lovingly survived by her husband, Paul Kudzinowski; and her sons: Anthony Kudzinowski of Pittston; Andrew Kudzinowski and his wife, Lisa, of Moosic; and Christopher Kudzinowski of Moscow.
