MT. PENN BOROUGH, Pa. – This weekend, firefighters in Mount Penn can help extinguish your fastnacht cravings.

The fire company is hosting its 58th annual fastnacht sale tomorrow and Sunday, while supplies last.

Firefighters will be selling the sweet Pennsylvania Dutch treats at the department’s station on Grant Street.

Organizers say proceeds from the sale will benefit the fire company.

The sale goes from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. tomorrow will start again at 8 a.m. Sunday if the treats don’t sell out.

“Traditionally, in the past, we have always had a rush on Saturday, especially when we have decent weather. And the weather looks like it’s going to be really nice tomorrow, in comparison to the frigid temperatures that we’ve had,” said Chief John Theodossiou.

This year, it’s $13 dollars per dozen or $7 dollars per half dozen.
