Two people were stabbed Monday night in Easton, according to authorities.
Wilson police were called to St. Luke’s Hospital-Easton about 9 p.m. for a report of two victims, 19 and 21, who had been stabbed. Investigators determined that the stabbing happened in Easton about 20 minutes earlier, city police said in a news release.
Police said the two were stabbed in the 1300 block of Ferry Street during an altercation among people who knew each other. Deshaun Gayle, 20, of Wilson, faces charges of aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person and simple assault, police said. He was to be arraigned on the charges later Tuesday morning.
The two people who were stabbed suffered serious but survivable injuries, the release states.
