Two men were stabbed Monday evening and a suspect is in custody following a dispute among a group of people, Easton police said.

Wilson Borough police responded just after 9 p.m. to St. Luke’s Hospital’s Easton campus in Wilson Borough to a call for two victims with stab wounds, Easton Police Lt. Matthew Gerould said.

The victims, a 19-year-old and a 21-year-old, suffered serious but survivable injuries, Gerould said.

Investigators learned the stabbing happened in Easton around 8:45 p.m. Monday in the 1300 block of Ferry Street. It’s unclear what led up to the altercation. Most of the people in the group knew each other, police said.

Deshaun Gayle, 20, is the stabbing suspect. He was arrested and charged with two counts of felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon; two counts of misdemeanor reckless endangerment; and two counts of misdemeanor simple assault.

Gayle is awaiting arraignment on the charges.
