ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Authorities are investigating after an armed robbery in Allentown Friday morning.
Officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Smoke Mania store located at 2733 West Emmaus Avenue around 3:30 a.m., according to a news release from the Allentown Police Department.
The people authorities believe committed the robbery fled the store before police arrival, city police said.
A person in the store reported that people entered the store and forcibly removed cash and merchandise and ran away from the scene in an unknown direction, according to the news release.

The person said he was hurt during the altercation, according to city police.
City police say the investigation is active and ongoing, and there is no danger to the community at this time.
