UPPER MACUNGIE TOWNSHIP, Pa. – From music to horse carriage rides, reindeer and food vendors.

“We just love getting out in the community, seeing everybody,” said Kate Farrell with DonutNV Easton-Bethlehem.

Winter Fest is underway at Grange Park in Upper Macungie Township.

It is where Farrell is selling donuts of all kinds.

“The favorites tend to be cinnamon roll which is going to be a cinnamon sugar with glaze. That’s my personal favorite,” said Farrell.

People are making s’mores around the fire nearby while others get an up close visit with reindeer.

“It’s an opportunity to come together as a community and enjoy our amenities and our parks that we have,” said Ryan Griffiths, Upper Macungie Township recreation manager.

Griffiths said this is the township’s third winter fest.

“It’s just a way to really take the feedback from our community, tell us what they want and make it an enjoyable place to be,” said Griffiths.

Others are choosing to stay indoors at the winter wine festival at ArtsQuest in Bethlehem.

“This is actually our third year coming, so it’s always great to come back,” said Chelsea Walter with Bishop Estate Vineyard and Winery. “For us, we bring a wide variety of sweet whites, sweet reds, some dry whites, some dry reds just to kind of give someone something to enjoy when they come,” said Walter.

ArtsQuest programming coordinator Alexis Kuzek said this is the fourth winter wine festival.

“It’s a lot of Pennsylvania wineries. A lot of great wineries here today and about eight retail vendors,” said Kuzek. “It’s a lot of fun. People come, they sample wine, they can buy bottles or glasses and then supplement all of that with a little retail therapy,” said Kuzek.
