BETHLEHEM, Pa. – ArtsQuest announced in a press release on Tuesday the appointment of Cory Stevens as the next Executive Director of Levitt Pavilion SteelStacks.
Officials say Stevens will lead the overall vision, programming direction, and community engagement strategy for the Levitt Pavilion SteelStacks to advance the venue’s mission while maintaining its strong volunteer-driven culture and commitment to free, high-quality live music for the community. He succeeds Shayna Super, who will remain Director of Music Programming at ArtsQuest.
The release says Stevens brings more than seven years of experience at ArtsQuest to the role, including his current role as Volunteer Program Manager, where he has overseen the recruitment, training and coordination of more than 1,000 volunteers annually across marquee events such as Musikfest and Christkindlmarkt. Stevens says he will maintain his role as Volunteer Program Manager, while taking on new responsibilities with the Levitt Pavilion SteelStacks. His background spans volunteer leadership, arts administration, community building and live event operations.
In addition to his work at ArtsQuest, Stevens has been actively involved in the Levitt Family Foundation at the national level, serving on its Safety & Security Steering Committee and participating in national conventions that support best practices across more than 100 Levitt stages nationwide, the release says. As Executive Director of Levitt Pavilion SteelStacks, he will continue to collaborate closely with ArtsQuest leadership and the Friends of the Levitt Pavilion SteelStacks Board which is responsible for the overall governance and programming direction for the venue.
“Levitt Pavilion SteelStacks has been part of my life long before I ever imagined leading it,” said Stevens. “My first show here in 2016 completely changed how I saw this place –not just as a venue, but as a community. Over the years, I’ve had the chance to work side by side with our incredible volunteers, from setting up tables to gathering feedback and learning what truly makes this space special. I’m proud to step into this role and keep building a place where live music brings people together and everyone feels welcome.”
Stevens earned a Bachelor of Arts in English at Shippensburg University. He currently resides in Pottstown, PA.
