CASPER, Wyo. — On Tuesday, the Casper City Council unanimously approved on first reading a zone change and final plat for the planned Valley Hills Addition No. 3 subdivision.
The subdivision consists of a single 1.05-acre lot in the 2200 block of Mariposa Boulevard. According to Community Development Director Liz Becher, the addition will be a consolidation of several land parcels, including a portion of the vacated Riverview Addition.
The parcels in the addition are zoned R-2 for one-unit residential properties and R-4 for high-density residential. A power line sitting on the land was unzoned. Now, the land is being rezoned to a uniform R-2 designation.
Before the changes can officially be made, the Casper City Council will need to approve two more readings of the proposed ordinance.
