Madisyn Casselbury and Kylie Shingler each scored 12 points to lead No. 4 Elk Lake to a 40-38 win over No. 5 Blue Ridge in the quarterfinals of the District 2 Class 2A girls basketball tournament Tuesday at Elk Lake.

The Lady Warriors outscored the Lady Raiders, 10-8, in the final quarter, when Shingler scored five points.

Piper Keeney added seven points for Elk Lake (15-8).

Abigail Gelinger had 17 points for Blue Ridge (10-13).

No. 1 Wyoming Seminary will host Elk Lake on Friday in the semifinals.

Holy Cross 36, Forest City 24: At Holy Cross, Lila Kolcharno and Ava Schmidt each had 10 points to lead the No. 3 Lady Crusaders to a win in Class 2A quarterfinals.

McKinley Griffiths added seven points for Holy Cross (13-10).

Aundrea Pevec had 10 points for the Lady Foresters (9-14).

Mountain View 55, Old Forge 31: At Mountain View, Addison Kilmer had 25 points, 12 rebounds and three blocks to lead the No. 2 Lady Eagles to a victory in the Class 2A quarterfinals.

Aubrey Sanders had 17 points and six assists, and Emily Trichilo tacked on six points for Mountain View (17-6).

Lilianna Lenceski had nine points for the No. 7 Lady Devils (7-16).

Mountain View will host Holy Cross on Friday night in the semifinals.

Class 3A

Leena Conte had 13 points to lead No. 1 Dunmore to a 64-17 victory over No. 8 Carbondale Area in the District 2 Class 3A quarterfinals at Dunmore.

Amanda Dempsey and Jackie Brown each had 10 points, and Quinn King added nine points for Dunmore (20-3).

Alexis Nykaza had seven points for the Chargerettes (2-21).

Dunmore will host No. 4 Riverside, a 46-32 winner over No. 5 Montrose, on Friday night.

Lake-Lehman 51, Western Wayne 35: At Lake-Lehman, the Black Knights used an 11-5 advantage ln the third quarter to build on a three-point lead and advance to the Class 3A semifinals.

Tied at 9 after one, Lehman used a three-point edge to build a small halftime lead.

Lake-Lehman put three in double figures as Kinley Purdy scored 12 of her game-high 17 in the second half. Delcia Biscotto netted 11 in the second half for 13 points, and Olivia Oliver finished with 12.

Khloe Mistiishin was the lone Western Wayne player in double figures with 10.

Holy Redeemer 54, Lakeland 16: At Holy Redeemer, the Royals raced out to a 26-point lead at the end of the first quarter to advance to the Class 3A semifinals.

McKenzie Chimock led Holy Redeemer with 18 points. Bella Boylan scored 13, and Kearney Quinn finished with seven. Holy Redeemer (17-6) led, 29-3, after the first quarter and held a 40-8 lead at the half. Naomi Rude led Lakeland (7-16) with seven points. Reina Walters scored six.

Holy Redeemer will host Lake-Lehman on Friday night in the semifinals. It will be their third meeting of the season.

Class 6A

Amanda Aragona and Leah Bird each had 12 points to lead No. 3 Delaware Valley to a 53-17 win over No. 6 West Scranton in the District 2 Class 6A quarterfinals at Delaware Valley.

Brianna Waldron added nine points for the Lady Warriors (12-11).

Sahmira Menifee had 10 points for the Lady Invaders (3-20).

No. 2 Scranton will host Delaware Valley on Friday at 7 p.m. in the semifinals.

No. 5 Wyoming Valley West defeated No. 4 Wilkes-Barre Area, 31-23, on Tuesday and will face No. 1 Hazleton Area on Friday at 7 p.m.
