The Pittsburgh Steelers are heading into a pivotal offseason, and they may be considering trading away one of the players they acquired last year.

Cornerback Jalen Ramsey is entering the second season of his four-year, $84 million contract. The Steelers should explore trade offers for Ramsey, and according to Bleacher Report’s Moe Moton, dealing Ramsey for multiple draft picks could turn out to be a “dream trade scenario” for Pittsburgh this offseason.

“Entering his age-32 term, Ramsey’s contract counts $19.5 million against the cap,” Moton wrote on Tuesday. “While the Steelers may feel good about how his skill set translates to safety, they probably would prefer to either restructure his deal or trade him at that cost. Pittsburgh can bundle Ramsey with a draft pick to entice potential suitors.”

With Mike Tomlin no longer serving as the head coach of the Steelers, many players he brought in might be on the move. Although Ramsey spent only one season under Tomlin, they developed a solid relationship during that time.

The Steelers won’t be able to fetch significant draft capital in return for Ramsey, but a few Day 3 picks could be on the table, which could be packaged together to move up for a quarterback in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft.
