PITTSBURGH, PA — It’s safe to say the Pim Neill likely could have an outstanding career in sales when she grows up.

Thanks to an online video that went viral and has amassed more than five million viewers, the six-year-old from Mt. Washington has managed to sell a record number of Girl Scout cookies in Western Pennsylvania.

As of Tuesday, Pim was responsible for selling 112,000 boxes of the delectable delights thus far this year. The sales period still has more than another month to go.

“None of this could have been expected,” her father, Luke Mandel Anorak-Neill, told Patch. “This could not have been anticipated.”

Pim has done all of this in her first year as a Girl Scout Daisy, which is for girls in kindergarten and first grade. Her troop is based in Baldwin.

She also has done it while overcoming various physical and emotional issues that have proven challenging but have not become insurmountable obstacles. Anorak-Neill said that Pim is taking Spanish and also reads at least six books recreationally a week.

Pim’s Life of Pim TikTok page has grown to more than 60,000 followers, which Anorak-Neill created before the cookie sale but which has gained considerable subscribers since then. But page views do not equate to the number boxes of Thin Mints or Do Si Dos purchased.

“Pim’s incredible sales achievement is a testament to her enthusiasm for cookie season,” said Lisa Shade, vice president of brand marketing for the girl scouts.

“Her success will help her troop’s dreams of going to camp, while also supporting our council in continuing to provide impactful programs and opportunities for girls across the region. And Pim isn’t alone—Girl Scouts across our council are out there working just as hard, hosting cookie booths, going door-to-door, and building skills that will last a lifetime.”
