Janet Norris (Davis)
OBITUARY
Janet Norris (Davis), a woman whose life was a radiant testament to faith and family, passed away peacefully on Thursday, leaving behind a legacy of selfless love and unwavering devotion. She was preceded in death by her cherished husband, Richard Norris, in 2003.
Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Ruth Morgan Davis. Her parents and husband formed the foundation of the values she carried throughout her life. Janet’s life was anchored by two primary pillars: her profound love for Jesus and her tireless dedication to her family. She moved through the world with a servants heart, always prioritizing the needs of others above her own and finding her greatest joy in the presence of her loved ones.
To know Janet was to understand the true meaning of grace. Whether through a kind word, a supportive gesture, or her steady presence, she embodied the teachings of her faith. Her family remembers her for the love she showed and for her gracious heart.
While she has returned home to her Creator, her spirit remains alive in the laughter of her grandchildren and the enduring bonds of the family she nurtured so deeply.
Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her. – Proverbs 31:28
Janet was the beloved heart of her family. She is survived by son Rob Norris and daughter-in-law Erica; daughter Janet Clarke and son-in-law Dan; grandchildren, the lights of her life, Ally, Lily, Ben, Anna, Emma, Lucy, Sarah and Julie; brother Roy Davis; nephews Gary and Jim Davis; niece Karyn Davis; and cousins Jane Bishop and Ann Phillps.
A funeral with services by Paul McGuiness will be held at 6 pm on Thursday at Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 418 South State Street, Clarks Summit. Friends may call on Thursday from 4 pm until the time of the service.
