PITTSBURGH, PA — Saying the nation’s ideals are being attacked by President Donald Trump and “his rogue government,” Bruce Springsteen said he is about to launch a nationwide tour “in defense of America.”
One of those tour stops will be in Pittsburgh.
Springsteen and the E Street Band will perform at PPG Paints Arena on the “Land of Hope & Dreams Tour” on May 19.
“Fans, friends, and good folk from coast to coast: We are living through dark, disturbing and dangerous times, but do not despair, the cavalry is coming,” Springsteen said in a video message posted Tuesday on Instagram.
Springsteen last month released an anti-Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) song, “Streets of Minneapolis,” after two high-profile shooting deaths involving federal law enforcement in the city. Springsteen’s tour will begin in Minneapolis on March 31.
Tickets for all shows go on sale to the public at noon Friday at ticketmaster.com.
