In addition to Murray’s 14, Upper Darby (13-10) got 12 points from Artemus Sirleaf, and 10 from Musa Kamara.

Great Valley (17-7) was led by Woodard, who was hounded into a tough shooting night but scored 13. Islamia added 11.

The next step for the Royals will be a big one, at second-seeded Methacton (19-4) at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

The Royals did scrimmage Methacton way back in the preseason.

“We know them pretty well,’’ Miller said. “They’re really, really good.’’

Upper Darby is the District 1 6A No. 18 seed, but that might say something about the depth of the Central League, in which the Royals finished sixth.

“It has some of the best coaches in the state of Pennsylvania,’’ Miller said. “You know you’re going to get teams top-to-bottom, who are organized and are going to play well.

“We didn’t think anybody in the Central League was head-and-shoulders, but we thought the overall strength of the league was amazing.’’

For what it’s worth, the CL went 4-0 in 6A and 5A first-rounders Friday. 

“We were up seven against (CL tournament champion) Conestoga with about eight minutes left,’’ Miller said. “And we beat Lower Merion the game before that, so the potential is there.

“If we ever put it all together for 32 minutes, we’re a tough out.’’
