Benjamin Leslie


Leslie (ENGR ‘24) is currently a student at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and founder of Malleous, a startup developing a patent pending, bendable suction-retractor designed for microsurgery optimization. During his time at SSOE, Leslie was also named the American Society of Engineering Education’s (ASEE) 2024 Student of the Year and winner of the University of Pittsburgh’s Emma W. Locke Memorial Award.

This year’s class of honorees will be honored in a series of profiles in a special edition of the Pittsburgh Business Times on March 20 and at an awards celebration in April.
