LOWER MERION — Lower Merion officials announced that they have charged two men from Philadelphia in the early morning burglary at a Lululemon store in Ardmore last month.
Police identified the suspects as Quran Harmon, 23, and James Jordon, 49.
The burglary took place on Tuesday, Jan. 6 at 1:52 a.m. when police responded to a security alarm at the store and found a smashed glass door.
According to police, their investigation revealed two suspects used a sledgehammer to break the front door and enter the business. Once inside, they grabbed nearly $11,000 in merchandise. The suspects then fled the scene in a U-Haul pickup truck.
Lower Merion police detectives identified two suspects, and found out they were also suspected of committing a similar burglary at a Famous Footwear store in Philadelphia the night before the Ardmore burglary.
Lower Merion police executed a search warrant at a residence in Philadelphia on Jan. 11, where items from both burglaries were found, police said.
As a result of this investigation, warrants were issued on Jan. 19 for Harmon and Jordan. Harmon turned himself in to Lower Merion detectives on Jan. 29 and was transported to Montgomery County Correctional Facility.
Jordan was arrested on Feb. 6 by Upper Moreland Police during a separate incident and is being held at Montgomery County Correctional Facility on their charges while awaiting burglary and theft charges.
Harmon’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m., March 17, in Penn Valley. Jordan’s preliminary hearing has yet to be scheduled.
