The Wilkes University Women’s basketball team dropped their road contest against No.2 ranked Scranton 93-42 on Wednesday night.
Scranton jumped out to an early 11-2 lead and kept their foot on the gas, the Royals held a 54-23 lead at the half.
This would continue throughout the last two quarters as the Royals outscored the Colonels 39-19 after the half.
Scranton went on a 19-0 run going into the third quarter until Anya Richet broke that run with a layup.
Maliyah Warren led the Colonels with 18 points while Yamirelis Matos and Richet followed behind with six each.
Kaci Kranson led the Royals with 20 points.
The Colonels fall to 5-19 overall and 2-15 in the Landmark Conference, they will conclude their season at home against Goucher College on Saturday.
Scranton stays a perfect 24-0 and will finish their regular season on the road at Catholic University.
