ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Allentown Central Catholic High School announced when services for John M. Rosenberger, a well-known former teacher and Science Department Chair, will be held.

John M. Rosenberger died Monday, according to a message to the community from the school.

Known as a “Viking Legend,” the school says he will be remembered for his long-term dedication to educating and mentoring students, as well as his support of various sports teams — including football, basketball, volleyball, and wrestling.

The first viewing will take place Tuesday, February 24, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Kohut Funeral Home. The funeral home is located at 950 N Front St in Allentown.

The second viewing will be held on Wednesday, February 25, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Officials say mass will begin at 10 a.m.

Both will be held at St. John the Baptist Slovak Catholic Church at 924 Front St. in Allentown.

Allentown Central Catholic High School also announced it will use an FID on Wednesday, February 25 so that anyone who would like to attend the funeral may.
