OTHERS INCLUDE GEORGE BENSON, ANDREW CARNEGIE, NELLIE BLY, RACHEL CARSON, ROBERTO CLEMENTE, FRED ROGERS, JONAS SALK, ANDY WARHOL, AND AUGUST WILSON ALL LEFT THEIR MARK ON PITTSBURGH AND THE WORLD. PLAYWRIGHT AUGUST WILSON WAS REPRESENTED BY HIS WIFE AND DAUGHTER. THE PLAYS HAVE. THERE ARE SO MANY LIFE LESSONS YOU KNOW ABOUT LOVE, ABOUT HUMANITY. HE MAY HAVE PASSED IN 2005, BUT HIS WORDS LIVE ON FOREVER, AND SO DO HIS STORIES, AND SO DO HIS PLAYS, AND SO DOES HIS SENSE OF JUSTICE. FRED ROGERS, KNOWN AS MISTER ROGERS, WAS REPRESENTED BY HIS TWO SONS, WHO SHARED THEIR FATHER’S MOST TREASURED WISH. PEOPLE ACCEPTING ONE ANOTHER, YOU KNOW, AS THEY ARE. Pittsburgh unveiled its brand-new Walk of Fame on Monday and Michael Keaton was one of the 10 people inducted into the inaugural class with a bronze star.The only problem: Keaton’s name was misspelled on the plaque underneath the star. The plaque reads in part: “Under his stage name Micheal Keaton, Michael John Douglas is credited as appearing in nearly 100 movies and TV series, ranging from hit comedies like “Night Shift” and “Mr. Mom” to award-winning dramas such as “Spotlight” and “Dopesick.”Other inductees honored at Monday’s unveiling included George Benson, Nellie Bly, Andrew Carnegie, Rachel Carson, Fred Rogers, Dr. Jonas Salk, Andy Warhol, Roberto Clemente and August Wilson.”To be honored here, included among this inaugural group of honorees who not only shaped Pittsburgh, but shaped the world, this means the world to me,” Keaton said during the ceremony.
