A gentlemen’s club in Pittsburgh has been ordered closed by the Allegheny County Health Department.
An Inspector says Medusa’s Lair, formally the Cricket Lounge on Morewood Avenue in Bloomfield is operating without a valid health permit and lack of a food hazard plan (HACCP).
An imminent hazard was also found by inspectors, a sewage backup in the entrance lobby floor drain.
A “high-risk” violation was discovered in a chest freezer by the bar. There was frozen chicken in the freezer from an unknown source.
The club was ordered closed after the inspection on Tuesday.
Medusa posted on social media that it was closed and would be back open on Wednesday.
But as of Wednesday afternoon, the closure is still active on the Health Department’s website. See any changes to its status HERE.
The gentleman’s club was ordered closed due to several issues in May 2024.
