U. MACUNGIE TWP., Pa. – A crash in Upper Macungie Township left a 27-year-old man from Lansford dead on Thursday night.
It happened around 6:15 p.m., just north of Mohr Lane and Beechwood Street near the Lowhill Township line in Lehigh County.
Police say a pickup truck traveling south on Route 100 crossed lanes and crashed into a northbound Honda Civic.
Drivers of both vehicles were taken to local hospitals, and one of them died.
That part of Route 100 was closed for accident reconstruction and investigation until 11:15 p.m., when it reopened.
The Upper Macungie Township Police Department is investigating the incident. Township police say anyone who may have witnessed the collision is asked to call the police at 484-661-5911.
