Place & Date of Birth: Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

August 21, 1964

Length of Stay in the Community: John grew up in Morgantown, West Virginia, and graduated from high school in Edinboro, Pennsylvania, but he spent several years in Erie, Pennsylvania.

Places of Employment: In his early years, John installed computer networks. Most recently, he was a carpenter doing bath and kitchen remodeling. He was a perfectionist and could see if something was not level, even down to fractions of an inch.

John proudly served his country in the Army Reserves from October 1987 to June 1995.

Hobbies and Interests: Even though John no longer worked in the industry, he still had a passion for computers. In his spare time, he would repair laptop computers just for fun. When COVID-19 shut down most of the construction business, he taught himself how to repair high-end flat screen televisions, the bigger the better.

He was a World War II expert, especially war planes and ships. He could identify a type of airplane just by the sound of the engine or engines, but how could you prove him wrong?
