READING, Pa. – A Philadelphia man convicted of killing two teenagers at a gas station in Reading has been sentenced.

Berks County District Attorney John Adams says Nyjee Jefferson received a sentence of life plus additional years.

In December, a jury found Jefferson guilty of first and third-degree murder and related offenses.

The incident took place in February of 2022 at a Getty Mart on West Greenwich Street.

An interaction between two parties took place inside the store and shortly after, gunfire erupted outside, leaving both José Ventura-Jiménez and an unnamed 17-year-old dead.
