PennDOT maintenance crews will conduct multiple road work projects across Lehigh County beginning late February, with work scheduled through the end of the month in several municipalities.

The earliest work starts Monday, Feb. 23 on Route 309 in Upper Saucon Township between Memorial Road and Mountain Road. Crews will implement a shoulder restriction from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., with work expected to wrap up by Feb. 24.

Also beginning Feb. 23, brush cutting operations will take place on Orefield Road in North Whitehall Township between Route 309 and Cedar Crest Boulevard. The work will continue through Feb. 27 with lane restrictions and flagging in effect during daytime hours.

Starting Feb. 24, crews will begin brush cutting on three separate roadways. Tilghman Street in South Whitehall Township between Route 309 and Blue Barn Road will have lane restrictions. Blue Barn Road in Upper Macungie Township between Route 309 and Tilghman Street will have lane restrictions with flagging. In Heidelberg Township, Long Court, Northwest Road and Oriole Road between Flint Hill Road and Memorial Road will see lane restrictions. All three projects run through Feb. 27 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Bridge repair work is scheduled for Hill Top Road in Upper Saucon Township between Berks County Line and Mertztown Road from Feb. 25 through Feb. 27. Lane restrictions with flagging will be in place during daytime hours.

PennDOT indicated rain will not cause delays to any of the scheduled work.
