EASTON, Pa. – The first of three District 11 Class 6A basketball contests at Easton Area Middle School featured No. 4 Parkland against No. 5 William Allen.
Close game in the first half of this one as Parkland’s Javian Porter takes it coast to coast for the jam – one of his two dunks on the day – he finished with 13 points. Trojans up 13-11 after the first quarter.
Late in the second, Allen works it to Cam Pearsall on the wing, he nails the first of back-to-back threes. Pearsall would score 12 points in the game and it is tied 22-22 at the break.
The Trojans surge ahead in the third as Jude Ruisch gets it to Nas Adams and back to Ruisch who buries the three from the wing and Parkland leads 35-28 heading into the fourth.
Chunk Wise trying to bring the Canaries back as he drains it for three of his game-high 17 points but the Trojans move on, 60-50. Parkland will square off against eighth-seeded Pocono Mountain West who upset top-seeded Northampton.
