EASTON, Pa. – A firefighter who became trapped in the three-alarm hotel fire in Easton Friday, sustained major injuries when he fell from the building.

Wilson Borough Fire Department firefighter Bobby Lewullis was running low on air inside the third floor of the Hampton Hotel when he called for help. He was able to self-rescue using a ladder, but fell approximately 20 feet and remains hospitalized.

In total, six people were taken to the hospital, including Lewullis. One EMS provider was treated for smoke inhalation, and four civilians had unspecified injuries.

The Yard Foundation, a charity for firefighters, posted a message about Lewullis, whose condition is not known at this time.
