Dr. Jon Pollard, superintendent of the Wyoming Area School District, announces registration of students who will be attending kindergarten in the district for the 2026-27 school year will take place March 4 at the Kindergarten Center, 50 Penn Ave., Exeter.

Children with last names beginning with A to L will register from 8:30 to11 a.m. and those with names beginning with M to Z will register from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.

Children must be 5 years of age on or before Aug. 31, 2026 to enter kindergarten, inclusive and without exception. A birth certificate as evidence of age must be provided upon registration.

Proof of residence must be presented in the form of a deed, signed lease agreement or property tax bill along with a current utility bill or check stub for wages, public assistance or Social Security that includes the address.

State law requires that children attempting to enroll must have proper immunization and immunization records must be presented.

Children entering kindergarten must have the following vaccines: four doses of tetanus with one dose given on or after the fourth birthday and four doses of diphtheria with one dose on or after the fourth birthday — usually given as DTP or DT or Td; three doses of polio; two doses of measles, two doses of mumps and one dose of rubella (German Measles) — usually given as MMR; three doses of hepatitis B; two doses of varicella (chickenpox) or evidence of immunity

Children registering at this time also will receive required screenings.
