Our Lady of the Rosary Parish was the setting Oct. 18, 2025 for the wedding of Jenna Marie Burgio and Gavin Thomas McGowan, both of Greenfield Twp. The bride is the daughter of Joseph and Karen Burgio, Greenfield Twp. The bridegroom is the son of William and Linda McGowan, Scranton.
The Rev. Seth D. Wasnock officiated at the ceremony.
Lauren Farber and Kaitlin Tuffy, sisters of the bride, were matrons of honor.
William McGowan, brother of the bridegroom, was best man.
A reception was held at the Ridge at Maiolatesi.
The bride graduated from Misericordia University with a bachelor’s degree in health sciences and master’s degree in occupational therapy. She is an occupational therapist at Allied Services Integrated Health Systems.
The bridegroom graduated from the University of Scranton with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. He is a senior associate at Baker Tilly US.
The couple met through mutual friends while playing kickball in the Scranton Social Sports Club.
The couple took a wedding trip to Spain and Portugal.
