The Jefferson Educational Society has announced that it is postponing a Monday evening program that was to feature Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro discussing his bestselling book. The storm moving across eastern PA and the east coast stretching up toward Boston is the reason.
The Jefferson issued the following statement Sunday afternoon:
Due to the inclement weather conditions throughout a large portion of the northeast resulting in a declaration of disaster emergency for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the Jefferson Educational Society (JES) event with Governor Josh Shapiro, the 48th Governor of the Pennsylvania, that was to be held Monday, Feb. 23, is postponed.
The event featuring a conversation centered on Gov. Shapiro’s New York Times bestselling book, “Where We Keep the Light: Stories from a Life of Service,” followed by a book sale, will be rescheduled. All registrations will be honored for the new event date.
For any further information, you can contact the JES at info@jeserie.org or by phone at 814.459.8000.
The Erie County Democratic party also announced to its member that because of the snow emergency, the Governor will also be missing a petition signing event in Erie.
