It is called the Erie County Stay Fit Dining. If you live in Erie County, there is a great benefit that you can take advantage of during lunchtime every single day between Monday through Friday.
Technically the meals are paid for and are “free”, though there is a suggested contribution and it is confidential. It is a great program and wonderful opportunity for Erie County residents.

According to the Erie County website, these meals are to feed Erie County residents and make sure that they are being fed a healthy meal.
These meals provide a minimum 1/3 of the vitamins, minerals, protein, and other key nutrients as defined by the Department of Agriculture’s Recommended Daily Requirements (RDA) for people over age 60.
When the COVID pandemic was happening, Erie County started a program in which local restaurants were offering free or discounted meals to people in the area that they could come pick up and eat right from the restaurant. That program is called Go and Dine and has since ended or “put on hold” for now.
