Parks and Recreation City Seal

Pittsburgh, PA – The City of Pittsburgh’s Department of Parks and Recreation, or CitiParks, is seeking to expand its database of local artists to be vendors at art pop-up markets at city-wide events. Artists and makers are invited to fill out the Artist Market Application to be a vendor at events, enriching the cultural vibrancy of City events and making locally-made art accessible to the Pittsburgh community.

Recognized as a “World Festival & Event City” by the International Festivals & Events Association (IFEA) for both 2024 and 2025, CitiParks and the Office of Special Events want to elevate the work of Pittsburgh’s thriving arts community at the several events they hold throughout the season. Pop-up artist markets will be available at City events like Farmers Markets, Concerts in the Parks, Independence Day Celebrations and the Annual Holiday Tree Lighting.

Artists and artisans of all backgrounds are encouraged to submit an application. While prior market experience is preferred, CitiParks is committed to fostering diversity across genres, mediums and demographics. Categories include, but are not limited to:

Visual Arts (2D and 3D)

Functional and Decorative Ceramics/Pottery

Fiber Arts and Textiles

Modern and Trending Crafts

Small-Scale and Giftable Items

Artists will have the opportunity for increased visibility to the tens of thousands of people who attend CitiParks events each season, enhance their sales and have additional marketing support on promotional materials and social media.

Applications are open now and will be accepted on a rolling basis through the end of the year here. There is no application fee.
