The Hamilton College Continentals swept their women’s squash matches in Pennsylvania on Saturday, Feb. 21 and Sunday, Feb. 22.
 

Hamilton (8-9) breezed to an 8-1 win at Haverford College on Saturday afternoon and edged Franklin & Marshall College 5-4 on Sunday morning. The Continentals were 22nd in the College Squash Association varsity team rankings released on Feb. 17. Haverford was 27th and Franklin & Marshall was 23rd.
 
Sydney Hellinger ’29 won both of her matches at the fifth position, including a huge comeback from down two games against Franklin & Marshall. Hellinger is tied for the team lead with seven wins this season.
 
Chiara Nadel ’27 also went 2-0 and defeated her Franklin & Marshall opponent in five tense games at the sixth position. Nadel’s victory against Haverford was the 10th of her Hamilton career.
 
Lily Spencer ’26 was a winner in four games twice at the fourth position. Spencer is tied with Hellinger with a team-best seven victories this season.
 
Gardner Huston ’29 and Natalie McCollum ’29 didn’t drop a single game all weekend at the eighth and ninth positions, respectively. Huston is 4-1 and McCollum 3-0 this season.
 
Poppy Huffman ’29 triumphed in three games against her Haverford opponent at the second position and Diya Dhillon ’29 did the same at the third position. Mila Karimov ’26 came away with a win in four games against Haverford at the seventh position.
 
The Continentals play in the College Squash Association Divisional Team Championships at Arlen Specter US Squash Center in Philadelphia starting on Friday, Feb. 27.
