Customers who donated $5 to a participating charity got a pass for 25% off the entire store.
The company says it’s a win-win for everyone involved.
“So our customers are having fun. Nonprofits are around the store selling passes, raising money,” said Jacob Stein, Boscov’s vice president of operations. “The whole company gets behind this. The whole company’s out today. No one’s in an office. We’re all on the floor. It’s the best day of the year.”
Boscov’s says more than 3,500 nonprofits participated across 50 locations.
