A child riding an electric bike was injured in a crash with another vehicle in Erie on Monday afternoon.
About 3:19 p.m., Erie police responded to a report that a child riding an electric bike and another vehicle had crashed in the 4000 block of East County Line Road just north of County Line Lumber, according to police spokesperson Amber Luttrell.
The child had minor injuries, she said.
Luttrell said the child was riding a 1000-watt electric bike. She did not know what type of vehicle the child collided with or how the crash occurred. The investigation is ongoing, and fault has not been officially determined, Luttrell said.
On Feb. 13, a teen was seriously injured when he was struck by a passenger vehicle while riding what police called an “electric motorized vehicle” that “resembled a dirt bike” at the intersection of Erie Parkway and Briggs Street.
