OSHKOSH, Wis. (WBAY) – A Pennsylvania man will serve 15 years in federal prison for traveling to Wisconsin to sexually abuse a child, prosecutors said.
Zachary Vogt, 20, was sentenced Monday following his conviction on charges of producing child pornography.
Prosecutors said Vogt met the Oshkosh minor online in 2024 and continued contact with the child even after the victim’s parents warned him to stop.
Investigators said Vogt drove from Pennsylvania to Wisconsin, where he recorded himself abusing the victim on his cell phone.
The judge noted the serious need to protect the public from online predators and said Vogt’s actions represented an escalation of dangerous behavior.
