BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA — They took the plunge.
Members of the Bensalem Township Police Department took part in the 2026 Pennsylvania Special Olympics Polar Plunge on Friday.
Police departments from across the Philadelphia region participated in this annual event, which saw 108 members of law enforcement take the plunge into the freezing water this year.
Proceeds from the Polar Plunge help provide opportunities for athletes in the Greater Philadelphia Region to compete in competitions, improve health and nutrition, receive medical screenings, and so much more at no charge to the athletes.
