The Niagara History Center is renewing its wintertime cabin fever “Soup & Story” event on Saturday, from 12 noon to 2 p.m., with a meal and a special presentation by the Buffalo Maritime Museum.
Following a lunch of soup, bread and dessert, representatives of the Buffalo Maritime Museum will present a program detailing the journey of the Erie Canal Boat Seneca Chief as it traveled across New York state during the canal bicentennial last year. Details will be shared regarding research that informed the design and construction of the replica canal boat in Buffalo, as well as the museum’s plan to bring the boat back to Western New York this summer.
