Presque Isle Downs & Casino awarded Warriors to Washington a check for $40,871.91 on Oct. 22.
Joe Pfadt, President of Warriors to Washington stated that Presque Isle Downs & Casino has been a great partner since the beginning of the organization, 13 years ago. Pfadt said they have given food service, hosted parking and their launch area and have given generous donations over the years.
When asked about how Warriors to Washington has grown over the years and how that has evolved from the beginning, Pfadt stated, “I thought in the beginning it was a good idea, and with a good idea that had the potential to grow, but to watch it grow, not just locally, but now as we outreach into other communities, to see that happening it’s very rewarding, because we’re honoring veterans, and we’re doing something that’s in the interest of our veterans’ communities. So, it really makes us all feed good to do that.”
The next trip for Warriors to Washington will be in May of 2026.
