Police investigate possible shooting in Lower Merion Twp., Pa.

Police are investigating following reports of a possible shooting early Wednesday morning in Lower Merion Township.

Officials have taped off several blocks along Old Lancaster Road between City Avenue and Upland Road, just one block from the campus of St. Joseph’s University.

They have also set up tents along Old Lancaster Road next to the Edgehill Road Apartments.

Police have been shining flashlights and searching under and between cars near the apartment complex.

There is an SUV that investigators have set up another tent over, and several evidence markers can be seen on the ground.

Initial reports of a possible shooting and barricade situation were reported at the apartment complex around 3:45 a.m., but exact details about what is happening have not yet been confirmed.
