At its meeting on Feb. 25, the Troy City Council heard the first reading of a request to re-zone property on Carroll Street that is planned for a future McDonald’s location.
At its Jan. 22 meeting, the Troy Planning Commission unanimously approved a request to recommend the re-zoning of one parcel of land on Carroll Street from R2: Medium Density Residential Zoning to C3: Central Business Zoning District. The property is actually three parcels of land but the two other parcels were already zoned C3.
The site, which is on Carroll Street just off N. Three Notch Street near Piggly Wiggly, is planned for a future McDonald’s. The McDonald’s is projected to be a 4,200-square foot project with 36 parking spaces and a drive through. The council will hear a second reading of the request and hold a public hearing at its next meeting before voting on whether to re-zone the property.
