The Heritage Art and Craft Studio will host a pollinator workshop in the Wayside Lodge at the Daniel Boone Homestead in Exeter Township from 1 to 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 22.
During the pollinator educational program, create a pollinator house and learn the secrets of a flourishing garden by attracting pollinators. In this fun and educational hands-on workshop, discover how to create a welcoming environment for pollinators using 16-inch tall Amish-made wooden pollinator house and natural materials such as twigs, pinecones, and moss.
Participants will learn about the significance of garden-friendly insects, their role in the ecosystem, and how to cultivate a garden that thrives throughout the year, all to enhance their understanding of creating a lovely backyard. This workshop is suitable for all ages (adult supervision required). All materials provided.
Heritage Art and Craft Studio is co-owned by Greg Geesaman and Peggy Allen-Geesaman.
For more than 50 years, Greg has dedicated himself to the study of American history, as well as gardening, landscaping, agriculture, and environmental preservation.
